This one-hour class focuses on forward bends with asana’s such as Janu Sirsasana, Trianga Mukhaikapada Paschimottanasana and Marychiasana I. To prepare for this demanding group of asanas, we begin with work on the legs, back, pelvis and groin with simple standing forward bends and Supta Padangusthasana and Parsva Supta Padangusthasana.

What is level 3?
The level 3 (able and willing) class is meant for experienced Iyengar yoga students who are capable of doing head balance at the wall for 5 minutes and who can lie over a chair in a back bend conveniently and from there can push up to a back arch.
